This would result in the Americans taking over the take down of the Northern Vietnamese Communists. This whole situation was seen as an escalation of the war but without much direction or purpose. The soldiers were going into unknown territory. This was a cartoon that was protesting the choice that Johnson had made and the way that he made this choice without the approval of congress. |
